On 8 March 2010, we have learned about Effective Meting. This module has been teaching by Pn Suzelina and Pn Iris Madona about how to be effective meeting and how to conduct proper meeting. They have been show the slide that has a songs, music and lyrics. Each group must memorize the lyrics and present in front of class. It is so interesting and more entertainment actually.
On 9 March 2010, we have learned about Effective Cover Letter. This module has been teaching by Pn. Norliza and Pn. Nor Farahiyah. They have been taught us how to write a proper cover letter such as a style, important content, signature, address and so on.
On 10 March 2010, we have learned about Communication Concept and skills. This module has been teaching by Miss Nurul Sofia and Miss Tara. We have been divided into groups as usual and must write a letter to apply sponsorship from the other company for our company. Then, another group will reply back our letter for the feedback.
For the afternoon session, we have learned about how to handle a complaint by people. The task which is each group sit in front of the class, then, a picture will appear on the screen. We have been given 2 minutes to discuss among us before people will ask questions. Then, we must answer all questions and complaint by people in proper and polite way. The objective for this module is to teach us how to handle stress situation and how to speak and answer proper way.
On 11 March 2010, we have learned about Public Speaking skills. This module has been teaching by En Farizal and Miss Tara. One day before, 27 people have been divided into 5 groups and each group has their own task such as forum, press conference, TV show, dialog and debate. Each groups had do presentation in front of class. They will give comments after the presentation finished that which one must to improve more. They also give us some tips to build our confident level, how to speak and so on.
On 12 March 2010, a professor from US; Prof. Dr. Patricia Greene was invited to teach us about Entrepreneurship in morning session. I was very happy because this is my first time the foreigner professor had taught me. Even her American dialect was differing and sometimes, I cannot catch what she said, but I was so glad and proud. She is very intelligent woman, charisma, friendly and always looks happy.
In the afternoon session, we have learned about Introduction to Advanced Report Writing skills. This module has been teaching by Pn. Norliza and Pn. Nor Farahiyah. We must discuss in our groups to fill up the answer for task that have been given to us. The task is about reports, grammar, sentences, and vocabulary. Then, the end of the class, the answer will discuss together and do some correction if the answer is wrong.

22 March 2010 – Today we had session for The Art of Negotiation Skills with En Hisham. He who love to create joke, we were happy and continues laugh with his joke. He was teach us how to know ourselves whether extrovert or introvert; and unleash our potentials for the morning session. We must give back when we were negotiation with someone to show grateful and appreciated.
We had learned about 4 fundamental concepts in skilled negotiation after the break time which is BATNA, Reservation price, ZOPA, and value creation through trades. BATNA for Best Alternative to Negotiated Agreement that preferred course of action in the absence of deal. That’s mean, good BATNA – we have something to fall back; weak BATNA – we have less bargaining power. For example, when we had decided to study at Lim Kok Wing University, but so expensive, so our parents were not afforded it.
Then, the negotiation find the another place because of money problems. Second, for reservation price (walk away) is the least favourable point at which one will accept a deal. ZOPA is zone of possible agreement which is the set agreement that potentially satisfy both parties. Lastly, for value creation thru trades is negotiation can improve their positions by trading their values at their proposal. For example, each party will gets something it wants in return for something it values much. After the lecture had finished, we had given a group work to discuss about negotiation case between employee and employer.
We had choose Aznial as a representative from our group as employer to negotiated with Husna from other group as employee. Husna act as Ziana who requested to taking a 3 month leave of absence to take care her son that has bad performance on school. We were so enjoyed for their negotiated and sometimes laugh for Ziana character because she asked her boss to marry with her. Finally, Aznial as her boss agreed for her requested to taking a leave for 3 months but she still does her work at home and communicates with other staff or clients through internet.

23 March 2010 – Today we were so lucky because we had session with millionaire woman, Liew Suet Fun together with Miss Sarasvati for writing an article for publications: Techniques and styles. This module covered for 2 days session. She had give us some golden rules to writing an article such as know our material, medium, audie
nce, goals, approach and languages. She was expounding to us about the different between creative and scientific articles.
After that, she had given us a group work to discuss about the articles that she had given to each group. Our article was about Protein: Fibrin. We must discuss what is it about, where was it written, who was it written, why was it written and how was it written and come out with the answer. Then, two people for each group had pres
ented the answer that had been discussed in fr ont of the class. So, Miss Liew Suet Fun and Miss Saravati would give us comment. She also had given us assignment which is to think the title for our group article for tomorrow session before the class end that day.
24 March 2010 - Today we had session w
ith Miss Liew Suet Fun and Miss Saravati again. After she had given us some short briefing, we were allowed went to computer laboratory to find and research about topic that we choose to write an article. Finally, we choose a topic about “Respiration System in our body”. We decided to separate work to understand that topic and writing each paragraph for each member of our group by using our own word. Then, we com
bined it together. As usual, one representative will present in front of the class and read our own article. She had give comments and tips how to improve better.

25 March 2010 – Today we had a lot of amazing knowledge, great, surprise session with En Faizal Kamal from UIA that teach us about NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) communication. This knowledge is new for me and me never known about this before. I was excited and happy. I have learned about subconscious and conscious mind, how to control it. Sometimes, our subconscious mind were think more to negative things but it will change to conscious if we good to handle it. Conscious mind which is control ourselves.
In this world, human have three categories which are bad people, deceived people and excellent people. Then, we also learned about what is importance of knowing how to manage our emotions which is:

Other than that, I also learned NLP model, reframing in NLP. That’s mean, we just change our thinking in other frame to positive thinking, and it’s really works!!! Don’t use words ‘NO! , NO WAY! DON’T WANT! It is because it will influence our subconscious mind. Try to ‘cancel’ and ‘delete’ the negative things. He also gives us some tips how to changing emotions such as:
a) Know ourselves condition
b) Change our thinking
c) Change our phsicilogy
d) Move to other place
e) Take a deep breath
f) Muscle relaxing
g) Change our view
h) Give attention to another people
The loses people will always said ‘IMPOSIBBLE’, so that, they will meet with IMPOSIBBLE things.
The winner people will always think ‘POSITIVE’, so that they will success.
I also learned three types of people profiling which is:
a) Auditory: person who love to listen, talk, music. Their eye will straight when we talk with them
b) Visual : person who love to see, imagine. Their eye will look up while thinking when we talk with them
c) Kinaesthetic: person who love to touch. Their eye will look down while thinking when we talk with them
We must research and know first what their profiling types to give us easy to repo with them.
Besides that, I have also learned the powerful of words. He had give us group game like how to build the seven nails stable with each other and how to split the glass by using bulb of an electric lamp but the bulb is not broken. This game was so surprised and most of us were shocked the glass was split finally. It is because we all were intent in heart to give the glass broken and split. It’s so great!!! I was not believed at first time but after all this, I know it. Words are influence our energy and act.
In addition, he also teaches us the meditation that brings us in another world that we will felt so relax, cool and calm. So amazing!!! It was my first time experience. I had taken a chance to do treatment for my phobia. Alhamdulillah, its works!!!! He asked me to meet him again to treat me more because he know that I had a lot of problems and past experiences that disturb my mind now. I hope to see him again. This module is not enough just one day. It must have more extra time to learn this module because it’s related with our mind that can bring someone to success or failure in life.
26 March 2010 – Today we had session with En Khairul Najmi together with Miss Siti Nur Amira. Today module is about Communication Skills and Concepts. This module was actually in first week module but had been postponed to this day. Communication is divide into three which is 55% of body language, 38% for tone and only 7% for verbal. I do not know about these categories of communication before. Communication is deliver information between sender and receiver using suitable interference whether graphical, e-mail, telephone, face to face which is verbal or non-verbal.
We must know and research first what interference (language) and know our audience before we communicate. I was so enjoy listening about En.Najmi experiences in his life. It is so challenging and difficult to face but his success now. My spirit was increased to be successful woman in my life and work hard to help my family. He is strong men actually. I want to be like him. Insyallah....
He will be my idol.

I am gonna to miss Pn Nooraini15 March 2010 - 15 March 2010 - This was the first day for mock interview with En Farizal. We had given the list name for this interview one week before. But, about 25 peoples who are not involved in this interview because they had been their presentation last week such as a debate, press conference, dialogue, TV show and promotion. My turn was actually on 16 March, but he had brought forward this day to be interviewed. For those that were involved in the earlier activities for last week, they were given also a chance to be interviewed.
Besides that, En Farizal was give us four questions about our career plan, revolving around what is our plan to be within five years from now, what will our future prospect be, how we struggle to achieve that plan. Most of us spent our time on the computer lab surfing the web to finish up that career plan while waiting for turn to be interviewed.
I was frustrated lastly because my turn was postponed for the next day because not enough time to be interviewed.
16 March 2010 – This was my turn to be interviewed. My turn was early in that morning. At 9.50 a.m., my name was called to enter the interview room together with Siti Fazieyati and Megala. The interviewer asked me to introduce myself first. Then, he asked me what bio matrix was about and other bioinformatics news. En. Farizal had give comments after finished the interview. In his opinion was I must polish my English to improve better but he said that my English was not so bad; and tries to rehearse more. I got a lot of experiences this day about how to improve my skills and techniques for attend the interview.
17 March 2010- This was a day I felt like a celebrities because Pn. Fatimah Abu Bakar, we called “Cikgu Fatty”; who person that popular in TV show and acting especially in “Academy Fantasia” had spent her time to teach us about ‘Body Language for Presentation: A picture paints a thousand words’. We were so appreciated and happy for her spending time with us. ‘Cikgu Fatty’ is very intelligent woman and has full of experiences. Before we started our class, she asked us to introduce ourselves. Then, she said that we all can speak but might more confident and polish ourselves to speaking in front of people. Then, she was give tips to be effective and good presenter.
After that, she was give us group work such as pitching conference, press conference and mock interview. My group was choosing to conduct pitching conference about “Antioxidant of Mangosteen”. ‘Cikgu Fatty’ was give comments after finish presentation that our group has credibility and practice to rehearsed more to build up self confidence. Also, we might avoid to use and ask many questions to audience especially in scientific terms because not all of them known about that. ‘Cikgu Fatty’ is great woman and very friendly. We had photo session with her before she goes back.
18 March 2010 - This was the day that we learned about grooming and dining etiquette. This module was taught by Pn Nooraini and En Farizal. Pn Nooraini who person has full of experiences and has look like charisma woman. She was worked in Stewardess Airlines before.
She had taught us for dining etiquette in the morning session such as how to handle spoon, fork, knife; the arrangement for plate and glass, also the etiquettes in formal dinner. Some of us were done the practicing it in front of class to show how the dining etiquette was about. Then, she taught us how to wear a proper attire to attend the interview. She asked some of us to stand up and show what attire that we wear, and then she gave the comments whether there was suitable or not.
For the afternoon session was continued by En Farizal about grooming etiquettes. Then, we were separated into two which is the woman will conduct by Pn Nooraini and for men was conducted by En Farizal for the grooming session. We were so excited when Pn Nooraini taught us how to make up and how to wear a “tudung” in other alternative design.
19 March 2010 - Today we had another session with Pn Norliza and Pn Farah again. We were happy to see them again. Today module is about ‘Advance Report Writing’. We were asked to discuss among our group to think a suitable area like food satisfaction, facilities, module & trainers, location and others to create questionnaire. Our group had chosen to create in module & trainers questionnaire. Then, the questionnaire would distribute to all another groups to answer that questions. The end of the day, we all had divided to own work to do the report for this questionnaire. I and Shida work to analyze the data and create the graph.
On 1 March 2010, representative from BiotechCorp and SEED representative was given us introduction, explanation and briefing of BeSt programme is all about such as objectives, mission, and so on. My spirit was increased and I will struggle to improve my communication skills, to build up confident after heard about their explanation. I was so happy to see them.

On 2 -3 March 2010, we went to Lembah Nur Pangsun at Hulu Langat, Selangor for 2 days 1 night. Representative from Biotechcorp also have been joined us in this camp. They are Kak Hana, Kak Fara and En. Said. We were so happy because they were involved together. Here, we learned how to build a team building. Module that we learned is how to increased energy in our daily life. We are also done ice breaking to know close which other. It is because, we were just met for second day, but still do not know among ourselves. A lot of activities and games that we were do here like team challenging.
We must use our critical thinking to play this game for this module. The game such as:
i- Put the water in the big tank which has many holes until full
ii- Find the things in different kind of leaves, stole, sand
iii- Use rope to pull the bottle bring to outside of box area
iv- Find alternative way to crossing the rope but do not touch that rope
We have been divided to 5 groups to play this game. We were also created our own flag, logos, team name and trademark. Besides that, we have also created our own design of plane and my groups win number three for all these game. We were so excited.

On 5 March 2010, we have been learned about Effective Resume. This is our first class and first module teaching by Pn. Norliza and Pn. Nor Farahiyah. I like the way that they have been teach us because they were so intelligent woman. They have been teach us how to write a proper resume such as a style, content, proper photo, head of the resume and so on. . I do not how to write a good resume before, but after I joined to this BeSt programme, I knew that. I wrote my resume in 7 pages before, now I knew that to write a proper, sharp and good resume, it is just write in at least 2 pages only.

Where is my interested corporate attire???
On 1st March 2010-Monday, it was my first time I entered to UniRaZak because I was joined BeSt (Biotechnology Enterpreneurship Special Training) programme, I was so excited to start my class.
Two weeks before, I was excited to go shopping with my friends to buy working attire, shoes, bags, accessories and so on. Actually, so difficult to find a corporate attire that I interested. Finally, I found it at Jusco Wangsa Maju. I spent about RM 200 for that day. One week before, I also have been gone to survey where is UniRaZak, Capital Square located is...
First Day at UniRaZak...
At 8.30 am, I was arrived at UniRaZak campus, so excited but felt nervous sometimes actually. My first people that I had meet in Kak Sha. I sit beside her in the class. For the first my class was a briefing from BiotechCorp community. They have been explained all about how the BeSt concept was ; its mission and vission. They were also introduced all community that conduct and involved for this BeSt programme.
We are also provided very delicious food, breakfast and suffer served that caterer. I felt that something different and new environment to me that day. I also felt like down on earth because many participates here are so fluent to speak in English. I have finished my class at 5.30pm.
